At Reformation Studio, we believe our interiors are an un-tapped resource that can change the world we live in, both on a global and a personal level.

From the homes we pass every day of our lives in, to the workplaces we dedicate our lives to, to the schools our children learn about the world in and all the spaces in-between that we holiday in, play in and celebrate in, the majority of our time on this earth is spent indoors, in manmade environments.

So why don’t we make them better?

Thinking far beyond the basics of a space being fit for purpose and decorated to look trendy or up-to-date, what if we could design our spaces to actively improve our physical health, mental health, relationships and cognition?

What if schools were designed to make learning easier for children and teaching easier for teachers, what if every office was designed to reduce physical and mental stress and every home was designed to minimise environmental harm and provide the right environments for a nourishing, fulfilling life?

When you mention interior design, most people think of the latest trends, feature walls and soft furnishings, using aesthetics as the only driver for a scheme.

Of course, aesthetics is hugely important but there are so many other elements that can be incorporated to produce spaces that benefit our human bodies and experiences.

Many of these elements are rooted in science, environmental design and psychology and are waiting to be blended into beautiful interior design schemes that will really make a difference to our lives.

Combining research in environmental psychology and human behaviour, neuroaesthetics and beauty with science and innovation, Reformation Studio is a vehicle to bring this knowledge into the mainstream and show the transformational benefits of this approach to building design through the work that it does.

Mindful interior design is a profound opportunity to enrich lives and we live to create it.
